This is not on African American or Hispanics.
In our polling with YouGov, since the start of his second term Donald Trump's net approval has fallen 17pts among white Americans (+17 to -1), 28pts among Hispanic Americans (-9 to -37) and 38pts among black Americans (-36 to -74)

(81 posts)I have said this several months ago with no response from the DU audience. The problem with this country is white people not facing the reality that they are being bamboozled by rich white people who have convinced them all their lives, that they are a superior race and that everyone other then them are taking something from them or the cause of their misery and pain.
It seems as if the only thing that may convince white people that minorities are not their enemy is a deep dive into poverty. Once the lack of SNAP benefits hit them because white people receive 40 % of those services maybe w=they will wake up and stop trusting in their whiteness and realize that we are all in this together.
I like to quote Lyndon Johnson:
If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.

(27,555 posts)Im a light skinned woman of African American ancestry that could pass. He never knew what I was until he met my sister who is a shade darker and the guy will barely interact with me when he sees me now. Most of those magaloons are bigots.
I always get the squint in the eye from bigots trying to figure out my race.

(20,683 posts)Nope. All the other men I know and talk to, and in general all the other white people I know and talk to, have the same politics and social attitudes as me. I have no wish to go outside that circle, and it probably wouldn't do any good if I did.

(8,938 posts)Why Fundamentalists Love Trump
David French
I grew up in a church that most would describe as fundamentalist, and Ive encountered fundamentalism of every stripe my entire life. And while fundamentalist ideas can often be quite variable and complex, Ive never encountered a fundamentalist culture that didnt combine three key traits: certainty, ferocity and solidarity.
Certainty is the key building block
That certainty breeds ferocity. Indeed, ferocity not piety is a principal trait of every truly fundamentalist movement Ive ever encountered...
Yet certainty and ferocity are nothing without solidarity. Its the sense of shared purpose and community that makes any form of fundamentalism truly potent
