To many, if not most countries. As far as I know, the US is the only one where the left side of politics uses blue as their representative colour.

Traditionally the left uses red, the right uses blue (maybe this came about from the connection with 'bluebloods, I'm not sure). I understand and appreciate the support for the US but still - it's a contradiction to many other nations.
