I'd agree; I'm 59 and I'd guess I've probably heard of every mid-to-major star of the 30s and 40s.

yes, a 30 year old PCT when I was in the hospital this summer, that never heard of Bob Hope. That is unbelievable. Even when I was young (I'm 61), I knew who Al Jolson and Clark Gable, etc, etc were and they died before I was born.

Today many, sadly, here, too just listened to their "podcasts" which reinforce their world opinions.
No interest in expanding their world.
