Trump urges New Yorkers to vote Cuomo for mayor

President Trump on Monday urged New York City voters to back former Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) in the mayoral race, officially throwing his support behind his one-time rival as he trails Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani in the polls.

“Whether you personally like Andrew Cuomo or not, you really have no choice. You must vote for him, and hope he does a fantastic job. He is capable of it, Mamdani is not!” Trump posted on Truth Social ahead of Tuesday’s election.

The president, a native New Yorker, warned against supporting Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa, reasoning that a vote for Sliwa amounted to a vote for Mamdani. And Trump reiterated his threat to withhold federal funds from New York City if Mamdani is victorious.

“It is my obligation to run the Nation, and it is my strong conviction that New York City will be a Complete and Total Economic and Social Disaster should Mamdani win,” Trump posted. “His principles have been tested for over a thousand years, and never once have they been successful.

If Trump were to go on WCBS' morning show and tell the viewers "don't go to a subway station and stand in front of an oncoming train," the staircases would collapse from all the people trying to enter the platforms to stand in front of oncoming trains. The general consensus in New York City is whatever Trump says, do the opposite.

I have an idea for the fascist prince. ANY advice from him deserves an oppositional response. Every time. He wants Cuomo? Vote against Cuomo and you know that you're doing the right thing. And the same for that nutbag Musk. Whatever he wants is what you don't want because he doesn't give a shit about any voter, any election. He's a perverted asshole. Same as Trump.

Having him endorse Cuomo is like Satan endorsing Judas.

Now Cuomo is really screwed. This endorsement is the kiss of death in NYC.

Even with all of Silwa’s supporters, it won’t be enough for Cuomo to cross the finish line. Whats with NY governors and their falls from grace? This is much worse than Spitzer, who was guilty of one of the oldest vices known.

Cuomo on the other hand, solicited the endorsement of the man, whose actions contributed to countless deaths in his state. Cuomo is just pathetic and I don’t even think it’s ideological. I think he has turned off plenty of moderate democrats too at this point.

Once this is over, he may as well just become a hack on Fox News. He’s done in the party. He offers nothing at this point.
