Threads beats out X:

Threads surpassed X in daily active users on mobile devices worldwide for the first time by a razor-thin margin late September, though now Threads has since extended its lead by millions of users.

with attempted communications from countless accounts by 'fake women'
whose profile pictures were mostly much too textbook beautiful
to be coming from real women---

I presume 99% were from men attempting to scam me...

I was so disgusted that I removed the app from my cellphone....
(but I still get notifications for it on Instagram)

with liberals and DU members and have well over a thousand 'followers',
it is extremely rare there that I can get as much as "1" like for any post,
but likewise get deluged with messages from 'fake women'
who mostly get their accounts deleted before I can see their messages!

(Not that I really want to converse via PMs on social media,
but whenever I finally open it, there are many more messages
from 'deleted accounts' than from those who haven't been deleted yet---

and I suppose that is 'GOOD' from the standpoint of 'site moderation',
but as far as connection with 'members of like mind',
there are practically NO such connections!)
