The US military is caught planning a coup against the president of the USA because they think he is weak due to a nuclear treaty with the USSR.
What's going on now should be "7 Days in November":
The military needs to act to stop a rogue Secretary of Defense ( I'll never say Secretary of War) and a vengeful, demented president, who is itching to turn the military on his own people. Couple that with a craven political party that never stands up to defend the Constitution.

(6,479 posts)re-watched "All the King's Men," about a politician who begins as a clean guy, but turns crooked. Supposedly based on Huey Long, in Louisiana. With Redford's death, recently viewed "The Way We Were," (partially set during the McCarthy era) and it has remained timely to what we're now enduring.
Love those older films.
