Trump's "relationship" with the SCOTUS is exactly like a scene between Pesci and Liotta in "Goodfellas."

This will make no sense at all if you haven't seen the movie. And if you have, it will make perfect sense.

Pesci wants Liotta to double date with him. His motives are explicit and vulgar and sexist with a touch of racism.

Simply put, this woman will not go out with him alone. He wants Liotta to double date, with Lorraine Bracco, so that he can "make his moves."

Pesci, in a moment of frustration, blurts out his true intentions...to have sex with his date.

ENTER DONALD TRUMP AND THE SUPREME COURT.

OVER THE YEARS, especially with Roberts at the helm, the SCOTUS has carefully manufactured an image of themselves as some kind of arcane, holy, wise, all-knowing and all-seeing body of "justices" whose sole purpose is to interpret the Constitution and "NOT RULE FROM THE BENCH" (a term Republicans LOVE to throw out ANY TIME things aren't ruled in their favor).

MAGAts LOVE it and HIGH FIVE it, but I don't know one Democrat or Independent who believes that Roberts anointing Trump with "total immunity" was a good idea.

And Trump whines like the little Richie Rich rotten kid he is every time things don't go HIS way, and it's an expected, knee-jerk reaction that he'll kick EVERYTHING up to them that was shot down by the lower courts.

AND JUST LIKE JOE PESCI IN THAT SCENE, Trump's "justification" every time is that he wants to have sex, not LITERALLY, but it's something he NEEDS for HIS gratification, HIS ego, and no matter how many ways he tries to frame it as "making America great again," it's just Trump, enriching himself, or trying to punish Dems, or...in a more nefarious sense, punishing the WORLD for electing Biden in 2020.

And the SCOTUS just keeps signing that blank check, confident that he'll "do the right thing," which HE NEVER DOES.

They NEVER believe Trump will do the right thing.

The Justices know exactly what Trump's next moves will be and they LOVE it.

I can't look at any of the "conservative justices" and single out one of them who loses sleep over Trump "doing the right thing."

They just don't want to face his wrath.

Several of them have "summed up the problem with America," as it applies to the SCOTUS...we simply don't accept their "ruling" and shut up about it. We don't like it, and they don't CARE that we don't like it, they think we should just shut up about it.

And SCOTUS will discard him at the end of this term.

Whether he gets beaten to death with hammers and buried in a cornfield has yet to be determined.

(Goodfellas spoiler alert)
