“Early this morning, law enforcement responded to threats that were received by email involving certain polling places in Bergen, Essex, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean, and Passaic counties,” the state Office of the Attorney General said in a statement Tuesday.

“Law enforcement officers have responded at each affected polling place, and they have worked swiftly to secure these polling locations and ensure the safety of every voter. Some of these polling locations have already re-opened to the public. At others, voters will be directed to a nearby polling location to cast their ballot.”

there to be bomb threats, especially in Democratic majority districts. These threats happened in '24, they're happening now, and you better believe they will happen again in '26.

This is a form of voter suppression, and if we are to save our freedoms and democracy, we need to find an effective way to resist these acts of terror.

Officials really need to come up with a better way of dealing with it than shutting down polling places for most of the day. most people voted early.
I passed a polling place this morning and there were hardly any cars parked there. Usually it's overflow traffic all day long.
This is the first year I voted early and the polling place was very busy.

Even in a blue state like New Jersey (where many areas are blue) . We have the same problem in Pennsylvania, with a few solid-blue counties and the rest are half & half, or not blue at all. The County Election officials must all follow the laws of our state, regardless of their personal political convictions.

If they can't do that, they have no business applying for the job.

This is a big THANK-YOU to all County Elections officials because the vast majority are good Americans!
