Fox news is calling this post about Dick Cheney "vile"

Eman Abdelhadi is an assistant professor in the University of Chicago's Department of Comparative Human Development.

"Every time one of these mass murderers dies without having faced any consequence for the massacres they ordered, the lives they destroyed, the societies they razed to the ground... I realize how far we are from a world with justice. Rest in hell Dick Cheney. Your legacy is death," she posted to her Bluesky account early Tuesday morning.

That's Fox's schtick.............praise law breakers, honor those who prioritize torture, speak no derogatory remarks about a person who ;lies us into a war...........I remember 2003 all too well. At one time that year, Colin Powell was the most admired black man in the USA, after they convinced him to lie at the U.N....Rev. Al Sharpton rose to the top.................probably very galling to Mr. Powell. Cheney ruined lots of lives. Let's just not forget that. NO, I don't hope he rests in peace.........

I am retired and do not have a title, or report to anyone who may object my speech. If she would have put out that statement as a private citizen, without her job title, then I applaud her. I’m just wondering if the shoe will drop that’s all.

At worst (and I think I'm not too far off base here), he was flirting with classically-defined heresy by invoking his deity-of-convenience as authority for his actions.

I imagine one of her idiot critics will use the lazy "this makes us look as bad as them!" schtick in an attempt see her gone

In 2002 Fox News was the biggest cheerleader for the Iraq war, questioning the patriotism of anyone who opposed it. While there were retired military people who opposed the invasion of Iraq, Fox only had Hollywood celebrities on to oppose the war, making it appear that no one of consequence was against it. Kurt Vonnegut opposed the war and when he died they presented a mocking obituary of him for being anti-Iraq. Years later Fox hosts would casually admit that the invasion of Iraq was a mistake but wouldn't admit that the US was lied into the war with claims that Sadam Husein was behind 9/11 when in fact he had nothing to do with it (The Bush administration never actually said he was behind 9/11, they just implied it). When Dick Cheney was told at the time that many Americans opposed the war in Iraq, he replied, "So what?" It was Rumsfeld who claimed the war would be over in six months. Dick Cheney did a lot of harm to America.

Cheney betrayed the US for himself and his corporate pals. Trump betrayed the US for himself and Putin. Birds of prey of a feather.

as he grew weaker and his lungs filled with fluid and slowly drowned him. He felt it all slipping away, all his money, all the power he amassed, his ability to irder thousands of people bombed and killed just because his shoelace b4oke that morning or maybe his toast was cold or something else had ruined his whole day. All of it was slipping through his grasp. There are few reprieves from death and no commutations and we leave all that we were in this life behind us and to men who must be rulers, that is hell.

Dropped depleted uranium bombs on Bagdad, a city with 50% women and children.

The slaughter of the poorly trained Iraqi soldiers was like killing baby seals according to
one observer.
