File under things I don't understand, 7pm poll closing in VA

I voted at 0645hrs this morning but have stopped on my way home to watch people rush in and vote. For the life of me, I don’t know why polls are not open from 6am to 9 pm in each time zone giving people a good chance to vote no matter if they work from home, 8, 10, or 12 hour shift work. All a good chance to vote while dropping kids off at school working, running errands, VOTE
