Going into the election, there were 51 Democrats in the 100 seat House of Delegates. Republicans hoped to hold their seats and flip Democratic seats and take the majority. Instead, the Democrats are holding onto their seats and flipping a bunch of repub held seats -- possibly as many as 7 of them.
