It's easy to understand once you get the hang of it

Mayor-Elect Mamdani could do some good things for the regular people who call New York City home. I don't think he'll get his whole platform instituted, but he's been a politician long enough to know that a successful public servant promises far more than can be delivered so he or she gets elected, then fights like hell to get the important promises in the platform implemented.

However, there are two factions working against him.

The first are the people who don't want him to succeed because they don't want to spend the money it'll take to get the reforms done.

The other doesn't want anyone but a white Christian male Republican in office, and Zohran Mamdani went zero-for-four on that one.
