I honestly think that outrageously tone deaf photos Trump kept posting of his gaudy marble and gold updated bathroom, the pictures of his plans for an equally gaudy ballroom, combined with heartbreaking images of the East Wing being demolished, really put fuel into the fire for Republican voters to vote for Democratic candidates in these special elections.

If ever there was a "let them eat cake" moment, it's what is going on now. I grew up in a very redneck, GOP town, and even some MAGA are furious with Trump. The visuals are much more impactful to the MAGA types.
