Everyone has a different take on what constitutes "exceptional satire." I remember Borowitz really going "hit or miss" during Trump's first term. This one is so close to reality that I see it, I register it, and I move on, because it's really impossible to exaggerate something like this to the point where it FEELS like "satire."
I have to imagine the "Nobel Committee" has seen the headlines and already drawn a red line through Trump's name. I guess the "satire" aspect of this comes when Trump's arrogant, clueless, narcissistic spoiled Richie Rich toddler is still lusting for a Nobel Prize, if for no other reason that Barack Obama received the honor.

Not to mention all these detention facilities looking more and more like prison camps for people who dare to oppose Trump's policies.

(23,257 posts)From his days of calling in to radio shows as "John Barron" to his racist "birther movement," he's accustomed to spewing whatever "truth" fits his agenda, without challenge, and if he IS challenged, he keeps doubling down.
You could TELL him that he'll NEVER get one because of SNAP, ICE, probably both, and he'd just get on the phone and resume "campaigning" for himself.
