1. Once upon a time...

I worked as a master control operator for a cable company.

we had an armed security guard at the front desk of our building to "protect us".

one night (I worked the over night shift), the security guard apparently got a "dear john" phone call from his girl friend.

He then proceeded to slit his wrists and rant and rave up and down the hallways spraying blood everywhere. We, the ops, locked ourselves in our control rooms. By the time the cops showed up, the security guard had unsnapped his holster and was in the process of blowing his brains out before the police stopped him.

2. Frighteneningly, I suspect that to millions of Americans, this is not something going wrong at all,

but rather those snot nosed little commies getting what they deserved.
