Yep, just because I'm retired doesn't mean that I no longer live by the Oath of Enlistment,

Took the oath but didn't wear a uniform. I have taken it many times though I always think of it as a lifetime commitment.

it's a lifetime commitment, one that defines my life and values to this day.

Who takes the oath should understand this part.
And I would never equate my service as a civilian with that of those who serve in the military. I know the difference all too well.
