Republicans have a long and sordid history of opposing, undermining and obstructing pro-veteran and pro-military house bills and other pro-veteran initiatives, ever since Obama took office. Mitch McConnell actuality LAUGHED about hundreds of such bills, even some bipartisan, that he literally SAT on. And they fought to undo pro-veteran legislation during Biden's administration as well.

They care the same about veterans as they do about women, children, minorities, consumers, the middle class, healthcare, pollution, the environment, ,the middle class, the working poor, the homeless, the infirm, the disenfranchised.....
