I really loved Joseph Heller

He was real. I met him through correspondence in 1978 when I asked People magazine to forward a letter to him.
He was trying to recover from Guillain Bare Syndrome
Which I survived after months in ICU.
I shared so much in our letters.
He was a brilliant writer and person.

He then went on to write his story of his experience
with Guillain Barre

I think of him often and his bigger than life personality
and heart.
