in the waiting area. I leave and never come back... I'm running out of local barbers. Currently I drive about 12 miles to a "chain" franchise barber that only plays sports TV. The locally owned barbers that do not blast Fox news are harder to find.

This doesn’t mean they were all bloodthirsty sadists celebrating every poor wannabe refugee that their socialist heroes shot down at the Berlin Wall or at the Death Strip. It does mean that they were conditioned to think it was a positive event when it happened.

This part of Germany is the deepest part of southeastern Saxony. The German spoken there has a very distinctive accent that even today makes the skin of most other Germans crawl.

I was on a jobsite, working for fraudsters. This was back when California was arguing over English-As-the -official-language.
A voice from the next apartment was all about that.
When he passed the apartment I was working in he made a comment, thinking I would agree. My response was to ask him if he knew he was in a place called “Sacramento” in a State called “California”, and that his family had certainly moved there from somewhere else… Crickets.
The Trades is a good place to get a good feeling for what’s going on under those Red Hats. And it ain’t perty.
Sadly, some of the best contractors are MAGA. It suits the "Cowboy-as-King" independent crowd, where THEY make the rules and then bitch when they get red-tagged for violating the Code. So… yeah.
I worked for a widowed lady who was an “Angel” to lots of her acquaintences as she helped guide them through the issues confronting her senior friends. She was on the phone all day helping them. And in the background Rush Limbaugh is droning-on about”FemiNazis” endlessly. Such a sweet lady being poisoned a drop at a time. Incongruous.
Luckily, I didn’t have to deal with it too often. I got a license and I made a lot of effort to work in solitary. Not lucrative, but I didn’t end up dispensing “rough Justice” and having to live amongst them in the slammer.

I was supposed to unpack a fox viewer and he was so rude to my co worker who is a gay man that I asked my boss to get someone else for the unpack. I felt so sorry for his wife. I'm sorry that you have to go into so many homes with Fox News. I only go into one, my aunt and uncle's, and that's one too many. At least they mute it so I don't have to listen to it and I can ignore it.
