https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/john-fetterman-hospitalized-after-fall/story?id=127494952Sen. John Fetterman's office said the Pennsylvania Democrat is under "routine observation" in a Pittsburgh hospital after he fell during an early morning walk Thursday near his home in Braddock, Pennsylvania.
"It was established he had a ventricular fibrillation flare-up that led to Senator Fetterman feeling light-headed, falling to the ground and hitting his face with minor injuries," a statement from his office said.
Fetterman opted to stay in the hospital so doctors can "fine-tune his medication regimen," the statement said.
This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.

(16,903 posts)I don't wish ill on anyone, including Fetterman. I've been disappointed in him. To me, he's almost not the same person that he was before the stroke. Either he was lying initially about his principles, or else something changed after the medical episode.
He clearly has some pressing medical issues, and it might be best if he resigned and looked after those issues.

(13,757 posts)that he needs a pacemaker and not a "medication tune-up". But what do I know, I'm just a cardiology nurse (ret.).

(53,306 posts)but yeah if he doesn't have one, it seems like it would be a good idea for him to have one.

(13,757 posts)I regard a stroke in the same way I think of a traumatic brain injury, except that it comes from inside instead of outside. That's what I always told families of stroke patients, especially if it was a bad one---that it was essentially the same thing as getting hit upside the head with a baseball bat or similar. To quote a line from some book I read (I forget now which one) regarding Fetterman, "My feelings towards him is an exasperated pity-like."

(1,807 posts)he WANTS us to wish him ill. You know how I know? He told CNN that Dems 'want him to have another stroke' and the like. But don't take my word for it. Here it is:

My take? He's not fit to serve IMO, mentally or physically. I was livid with him for awhile but it's finally dawned on me he can't help his current state. Just feel sorry for him now more than anything else.

(71,465 posts)Primarys him or he cant serve for health reasons. Thune will not confirm or seat a replacement. Plus I dont hate Fetterman. I am angry and disappointed in his disloyalty to our party. He was with the GOP TRASH-from
the beginning.
I guess he suffered an unexpected shutdown.
