Isaiah 33:1 states: "Woe to you, destroyer, you who have not been destroyed! Woe to you, betrayer, you who have not been betrayed! When you stop destroying, you will be destroyed; when you stop betraying, you will be betrayed."
"This verse expresses a warning and condemnation towards those who cause destruction and betrayal without facing consequences themselves. It emphasizes the inevitable justice that will come to those who harm others."

(4,065 posts)I'm reading Father Richard Rohr's The Tears of Everything with my book club right now, all about the prophets and the important role they have played throughout the Bible and history.
One of my favorite verses for these times:
(Isaiah 5:20)
Another one I hang onto is "Acquitting the guilty and condemning the righteousboth are detestable to the LORD."
(Proverbs 17:15)
