He raised the prices and now will claim credit for the "lower" prices even though things will likely end up more expensive than before.

it will only help a little because now that the prices are high, they tend to stay high and there's still the shortage of agricultural workers

also, notice when trump screws up there's no big presentation in the oval office telling the American people hey folks "I fucked Up" but now I'm going to lower the tariffs' back to Biden era levels
