could his demise have turned out better if he had not run for office? Would it have been slower to bring him to justice?
I know the answer correlates with the way our Justice Department has always operated ineffectively. Too often they sat on their hands deferring to the result of an election. Or if someone kept a low profile, they would just pass him by.
What I do know is that once in office, Trump has done grave damage to America, and for that he will not get off easy.

(22,951 posts)Before he ran for office, I really didn't have a horse in the race. I heard of Trump for the first time in the lates seventies or early eighties. He was just some celebrity that made noise every so often. I didn't care.
In the Many people with great research and investigatory skills were in the same position as I; then he ran for office. I imagine there are now many thousands of these people focused on him.
I don't know if justice would have found him sooner or later had he not run for office. Perhaps more would have come out if there had been and Epstein trial. Perhaps it would have been hidden away for ever.
