Other defense attorneys have some/many. The Epstein Estate has some/many. Some number of DOJ lawyers who worked on that project (if true) would come forward and report that.

That would still identify people with some real guilt. However, what if they add stuff (on Democrats) that was never there or substitute a Democratic name for Trump's in places where not having a name of a perpetrator would be suspicious.

This would create pain, but I would hope that others who worked with the documents in the past would speak out.

They have had 10 months to destroy the evidence. That was done long ago, but let's hope people stashed some copies that will be leaked once the FBI releases what it claims to be complete files.

The reason for Trump's about-face is that he knows a bunch of Republicans were going to vote against him. He is trying to make it look like it was his idea.
