President Trump on Monday promised the government would pay out $2,000 tariff dividend checks starting around mid-2026.

Of note: A tariff dividend in the middle of 2026 would mean the government would be putting a huge check in most voters' pockets on the eve of crucial midterm elections.

What a grotesque bribe to distract from all the damage done to the economy and from the Epstein scandal.

Let's call it what it is, and there should be no mistake that this has nothing to do at all with the tariffs--that is just a convenient way to frame what will actually be just money coming from the treasury with his stupid signature on it to sway votes. It worked for him pretty well last time.
