but we're in a much worse situation than we were during Reagan's presidency. We didn't have the poison of social media infiltrating our body politic. And at least Reagan and subsequent presidents believed in our institutions. Now our institutions are being destroyed.

I definitely won't give up, but it's hard not to despair at times.
