I call the opposition "regressive" or the regressive party

I'm not "name-calling" and I use this is everyday conversation.

I know by general conversation if someone is political and how they vote. For example if they use the terms "Obamacare" instead of the ACA I know that this person is a regressive and votes accordingly.

A few definitions of regressive:

1. becoming less advanced; returning to a former or less developed state

2. (of a tax) taking a proportionally greater amount from those on lower incomes

3. tending to regress or produce regression

A few listed synonyms:
backward, decline, worsen, deteriorating, outdated, primitive, fossilized, rightist, ultraconservative

As far as I'm concerned it's a two way street. It was a long time ago but I was asked if I'm a "demorat". So I asked if they were regressive and backwards.
