Caroline Kennedy's Daughter Tatiana Schlossberg, 35, Reveals Terminal Cancer Diagnosis

This family has been through a lot.

Schlossberg praised her husband for his support throughout the ordeal in her essay. “George did everything for me that he possibly could. He talked to all the doctors and insurance people that I didn’t want to talk to; he slept on the floor of the hospital," she said.

"For my whole life, I have tried to be good, to be a good student and a good sister and a good daughter, and to protect my mother and never make her upset or angry," she added. (Schlossberg's siblings include sister Rose Schlossberg and brother Jack Schlossberg.)

"Now I have added a new tragedy to her life, to our family’s life, and there’s nothing I can do to stop it," said the mom of two.

Reading that last sentence, I hope she does not feel any guilt. It’s not her fault this happened.

I think it's wonderful that the New Yorker didn't put this very moving piece behind their paywall.

Even in her terminal times, Tatiana Schlossberg has some very pointed comments about her cousin RfkJr.

I leaned in and then I cried. Then I got mad at Bobby and now, just want to send her a card telling her how I agree with her. I am so worried about cancer research not being funded. Almost all of my parent's siblings have died of heart disease, colon cancer/disease or cancer of some sort. And Nurses are the bomb. They keep the patients alive in the hospital. We are going to suffer for generations if we don't get that funding restored. Audit it for sure, but keep working on it. I believe in Science.

I am so sorry for her. I'm so sorry for the loss to her children, husband and parents. I can't even imagine facing death at my mid-30s. My heart broke for her.

Tatiana: If you're reading this...Via con Dios.
