Warn everyone ahead of time that anyone over the age of 10 who starts getting too loud or excited can take their plates and sit at the card table until they settle down.
And if during the meal, anyone wants to change seats and talk about planning next year's gardening, or a Holiday recipe, or planning to adopt or foster a shelter rescue with Grandma, or talk Dr. Who, the MCU/DCU and Anime with Uncle Albert can do so.

Doesn't matter where you end up sitting, y'all will get pumpkin or apple pie afterwards, and home made Carmel kettle popcorn in brown paper bags to either sit and watch "the game" or go out walking to the nearest park with. And hot tea or cocoa afterwards

Of course, I've never hosted or been to a T-Day with authoritarian extremists like John Birchers or MAGA before, so I'm not sure how the kitchen table time out works in those situations.
