The US has also invaded or bombed dozens of countries and supported nearly every single right wing dictatorship in the world since the end of World War II.

Once that is accomplished Russia will be free to support Venezuela fully against us and make it more of a fair match. International politics is messy when the fight is over oil.

He believes that would open doors to staying in office beyond his term and would allow him to become even more of a dictator.

He's wrong about both, of course. He won't live to see the end of this term, much less into another one. That's my opinion, based on his observable health issues.

But, yes, Trump would love to have a nice, little, tidy war.
