1. Agreed. This is the first year in memory, the Gulf of Mexico (or Gulf of Surfered) did not have one.

2. Yes..a 6 month rest. The first time in 10 years we haven't had a hurricane but the only one had to come your way

I read an article yesterday, I’ll try to find it again, but the jest of it was how the rebuilding process was looking for stronger infrastructure and better planning for the long term. A very large budget for this was in the making and already had a huge amount promised. Here’s hoping 🤞

We surely paid our dues. My poor car is still sitting in the drive awaiting a new clutch (already bought it but son is lackadaisical about swapping it out…) since MILTON--December LAST year. Poor guy had even more major repairs from Helene that year, but at least FEMA paid for them.
