I'm guessing the latest polling has somehow broken through his dense skull and defences and is freaking him out. His hold on the Republican Party is slipping and reps are bailing. Name me a success he's had recently, even in his own terms. He sees threats from potential lawsuits and the payback for his past behaviour, which he's always been able to more or less avoid in the past, but the walls are closing in.

So he's trying to keep hold of and rally his base, because even some among it are growing disillusioned, and the only way he knows to do that is to try to feed it (not physically, of course) and fling shite at any hate figures he can dream up and that he can't shake from living in his brownfield head rent-free. It seems to have worked for him in the past, and he has nothing else at all to fall back on.

He's not familiar with the concept of less is more, has no functioning filters, is evidently gaga, and has no one around him who dares to gently or firmly remove his phone from his tiny paws and encourage him to go do something, ANYTHING else.

It seems most of last nights’ post were reposts (I’m having a hard time finding many without social media), so my thoughts are on his posts in general. Whenever I’ve seen a post by Trump this term, especially longer ones, I have sensed another voice. Cheung?Scavino? Miller? Someone else? AI? All of the above? Sometimes they read like somewhat intelligible right wing screed with an attempt to Trump it up with a few weirdly placed uppercase letters and Trumpian insults or self aggrandizement. Sometimes they read like Trump has an editor. But, recently I’ve noticed some that read like a kid using AI to flesh out a point they’re trying to make. At least, I hope it’s AI, because some seem too strange to be human edits but also too carefully worded to be Trump himself.
