War Crime - X & text- - George Will and Judge Napolitano (they've lost News Max)

Conservative writer George Will: “Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth seems to be a war criminal. Without a war. An interesting achievement."

?s=46&t=3VBm1LJ8j8qLp6JTs_8J2A

Judge Napolitano: I worked with Pete Hegseth for 7 or 8 years at Fox News. This is an act of a war crime, ordering survivors who the law requires be rescued instead to be murdered. I think it's getting beyond politics now. The killing is out of hand.

"It gives me no pleasure to say what I’m about to say because I worked with Pete Hegseth for seven or eight years at Fox News. This is an act of a war crime .... There’s absolutely no legal basis for it.”
- Newsmax's Judge Napolitano

Newsmax’s legal analyst just said Pete Hegseth and everyone involved in the illegal boat strike should be “prosecuted for a war crime.”

They’ve even lost Newsmax on this one.

As a noted baseball fan he had a great quote on football

“Football combines the two worst things about America: it is violence punctuated by committee meetings." (huddles)

I remember when he said rape survivors claim they were raped because they enjoy the attention and the elevated social status. As a rape survivor, I spoke out against that opinion. Our own William Rivers Pitt (RIP) posted my writing to George on his Facebook page. His editor saw it and printed it on their website. Will assured me my rant about George and his backwards attitude would definitely be seen by George Will.

As a rape survivor, I fully embrace George's wonderful words.

(It was a loss, but Democrats gained 15 percent over 2024), it should be a tsunami of 100 House seats next November!

But I was confusing him with William Safire. I can’t say I liked that archetype: Safire, Will, Buckley.

But they were definitely better than their ideological descendants i.e. Jordan Petersen, Eric Weinstein etc.

This crowd is their present iteration:

I used to dislike Bill Kristol during the Iraq War, but even he has jumped ship. The Bulwark is never Trumpy. Good for them.

And voted for Biden in 2020.

In March 2020, Kristol endorsed former U.S. vice president Joe Biden for President of the United States.[60] Kristol is founding director of Republican Voters Against Trump, a project of Defending Democracy Together, launched in May 2020.[61] On October 15, Kristol voted for the Democratic ticket. He stated: "Just filled out my early absentee ballot in VA for Joe Biden & Kamala Harris, Mark Warner, and Jennifer Wexton. No regrets at all about this."[62]

Kristol did an interview with Jewish Insider in 2021 where he said that he identifies as more of a former Republican.[63] Defending Democracy Together spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in January 2024 to support Nikki Haley and to run advertisements against Trump in the 2024 Republican presidential primary, the Washington Examiner reported.[64] After the incumbent U.S. vice president Kamala Harris replaced Biden as the Democratic nominee for U.S. President, Kristol endorsed her on The Bulwark.

The Bulwark isn’t really my style, but they are definitely anti-Trump from the few pieces I have seen.

I really enjoy reading George Will in my local paper. He's a great writer.
The judge comes from a strict rule of law angle with a libertarian streak. For better or worse.

His reputation as a "conservative writer" is meaningless now. Does he have a podcast? Do we ever see him on Newsmax or OANN? Does he have millions of social media followers? Does he sell patriotic & Christian themed merchandise on his website? Does he post memes on Facebook? If not, he is nobody to MAGA -- and the current administration knows this.
