Kelly: Pentagon lawyer 'didn't share all the information' during briefing on boat strike

Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) on Tuesday accused a lawyer for the Pentagon of being “evasive” in answering questions about a second strike on an alleged drug trafficking boat in the Caribbean in September, saying the attorney did not share everything with lawmakers.

“He came and briefed us several weeks ago about this specific strike,” Kelly said on “Morning Joe” on MS NOW, formerly MSNBC.

“He didn’t share all the information with us. As I recall, he didn’t say that there was a second weapon used. We asked a bunch of questions. They seemed to me to be sort of evasive. Their legal analysis about this entire operation has a bunch of holes in it.”

The November briefing included appearances by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, both of whom spoke with lawmakers, Kelly said.
