Truck traffic was lighter
but the most obvious thing missing was the container truck traffic
This would be a product of lack of imports
and affect railway and port traffic

(12,952 posts)5. What I notice last 5-10 years is trucks go fast now
They used to go 55mph and followed speed limit for them, now go up to 70 or more.

(17,329 posts)6. Company trucks don't, they're usually governed,
but O/O's, like myself, our trucks aren't governed, I can do 80 if I so inclined, but I don't, I'll usually keep it at 60-65 mph unless I'm in a state, like CA where I'm restricted to 55 mph and have to stay in the right lane unless I'm passing another vehicle.
In Utah, I'm allowed 70 mph on the interstates and 80 on the rural hwys.
