and I'm sure a fair amount in the suburbs as well.

We also had a lot of folks who belonged to unions (many manufacturing jobs), and it really has been a crack in the base of the democratic party for a long time. Some folks just focus on economics, some focus on the social issues, others want to be a "big tent" - but it is hard to reconcile when these folks are in the tent. The last decade or so many of them peeled themselves off into MAGA when they decided they couldn't bring themselves to vote for women. And that's really where we are - needing to rebuild. I think a lot of it will focus on getting young people registered. Hopefully we can do it in time to make the splash we need in the midterms.

They can bring lawsuits for emotional distress, defamation, verbal abuse, discrimination in public accomodations or other civil rights laws.
