and the one the rest of us who have decided to detach from social media and moderate our consumption with a critical eye.

Just saying, if you view media online, you need to wear reality goggles.

This is what I call my own decision to view all online content with a lens of disbelief.

For me, this is all like a movie, I know that when I am online and viewing something, that I am being entertained and I walk away from the whole thing with the attitude of "cool story bro..."

But until I SEE it, FEEL it and can verify the reality for myself, it will remain entertainment meant to be forgotten.

I can walk out my door, feed my ducks and talk with a neighbor and that is real...

I use DU because it is moderated. I have thought about this. Ai wasn’t even needed for YouTube, TikTok and FB to turn into cesspools. My hope though is that Ai destroys those platforms.

There are almost certainly various ill-conceived experiments with data and internet use though, which I disapprove of. That’s part of what’s taking jobs. People working inside and legitimizing these damn Panopticons.

I bet they try to make that pathetic “simulation theory” a real thing. Like that lightweight FB “emotion contagion” rot. How does that shit sell? Thats where the press comes into to be all credulous and sleazy.

Every idea that type of science adjacent charlatan has sucks. Nudge theory, simulation theory…

Instead of giving people options to just abort drivel, “participatory” or straight up non-consensual fixes. Bollocks to that. Si valley and tech culture broadly are cultish.

As research funding for worthwhile science dries up, more of this MIT Media Lab, Stanford Hai shit proliferating pisses me off.

Oh yeah, let’s do a study on how much agents and LLMs suck instead of stopping “data as oil” . That’s partly where humblebrags about a pile of buggy rot are coming from. Wanting to elevate this one shitty field above all others (no doubt in some cases with mental health being exploited to shutout naysayers from having any options at all).

They suck. We know they suck. wtf is there to “study” or discuss.

This is not an established YouTube channel. Seems to be a disposable YouTube channel.

If I do, then I usually increase the speed. Especially, for Ben with MT. He speaks sooooo sloooow.
