In Navy boot camp in 1974 in SanDiego, we had Iraqi companies doing their boot camp on base. Completely separated from us but always in view as we Marched on “Grinder” and did drills. (Never marched a damn day on my destroyer 🤔 .
More than once we saw an Iraqi soldier take a rifle butt to the head for making a mistake in formation.
