Just realize HBO is going to be a Netflix winner..... I plan on thinning out my TV apps by April....I have essentially too many....rarely use Peacock, Disney and MGM.... I do a lot of Paramount Plus and AMC Plus....Netflix has been a frequent flyer too. HBO for re-watching some great older series....

I do realize this house cleaning is needed.

I saw everything I wanted. I'll return to Apple in a few months.

Now I'm on HBO max for one month, and one month only. Then, onward to Disney for one month.

Paramount is offering me a free month if I come back. I say fugg'em until they get a new season of Star Trek.

… and they just announced the free ride is over—but we can keep it if we pay another $3 (I think) a month.

I’ve already written them off. Hardly ever watched Netflix because I always have my nose stuck in a (free) book. Apple TV is another thing I can never find anything interesting on, so I suppose they’ll start charging for that, too, and I’ll flip them off as well.

Said buh-bye to teevee over a decade ago because I asked DirecTV why we couldn’t buy channels a la carte because I sure as hell didn’t need 1000 channels I never watched. They laughed at me and I jettisoned satellite immediately.

The only thing I’m in danger of paying money to see is the LOTR sequels. Otherwise, the entertainment industry seems determined to make themselves irrelevant.

I thought those were all going to theatres first! *grumble grumble*

Guess we’ll have to eventually put on the eye patches and DL them by hook or by crook… I’ve got Kodi and it’s full of tons of movies to watch and rewatch in the interim.

Where you have to pay extra to have access to the HBO content. Might still be cheaper than two subs though.
