The other day on Yahoo Finance, they were talking about how the K Shaped economy is more stable than previously thought. Basically, this is the plan going forward, no effort to avoid a K shaped economy anymore.

Democracy was the answer to the K shaped economy, but I think the Right has control of enough of the media now that I am not sure Democracy functions like it should anymore.

They want people to go hungry, they want people to suffer, they've built their entire platform around making sure that happens.

Their entire thought process for decades now has been that poor people are just lazy and the more they suffer, the more they'll get sick of suffering and then get jobs and stop being poor.

Fourth generation. Remember, orangeanus' grandfather was a grifter, so was his dad so his kids are 4th generation.

The AI bubble (if it is a bubble... I think it is) continues to inflate. The market is doing well, despite the economy sputtering. Without AI, the market is more or less flat. I am in the top 10%, and I've seem my wealth (at least on paper) increase by about 30% this year. That pales in comparison to the top 1% and even more more the top 0.1%. They live in an a kind of "infinite money machine" at the moment.

I think this is a house of cards. But the very top have made such a killing that even if the market tumbles 50-60%, they'll still come out ahead from their starting position. The rest of us, outside that rarified top1%, will not be so lucky.

if not the greatest and I thought "maybe for you because you're rich but not for everybody else."

I've always known Grammer was a conservative but I didn't realize he was that far gone.

It kind of ruins Frasier for me. Of course, bringing it back after 20 years with none of the regulars pretty much already did that (although I only saw two episodes, it wasn't funny) but I digress.
