With the elected MAGAs, they are probably afraid to not be loyal. Their loyalty is born of fear.
But, how loyal is the "average" MAGA voter? They have seen that Marjorie Taylor Green has had the courage to criticize Trump and has received death threats for her efforts.
What percentage of MAGAs want to split from the embarrassment of the Trump presidency but have nowhere to go? They have so much invested in the stupidity and unlawfulness of Donald Trump that they must accept their illusion as permanent?
They are ashamed to speak up? They can barely look at themselves in the mirror?
Or are they still 100% devoted to their Leader and Savior, Donald Trump?

I have no idea if anything's been written deeply about breaking trauma bonds of the masses. Even after they lose they cling to their fantasies. Outside forces dictate to them but they are not empowered and do not change reality other than to be stooges.

The other 20% are flippable (or at least a good fraction of them) as evidenced by the approval numbers in every, yes every, poll. (Whether the poll is biased or not the approve - disapprove number has gotten far worse in all of them)
So, the answer to your question appears to be some of both.
