Their hatred for traditional safety nets, which they call socialism, is based on wealthy people (disproportionately white men) greed and resenting sharing it with poor people (disproportionately women and minorities).

Donnie is taxing imports, which attacks minorities/immigrants, and gives it to farmers, disproportionately white. Suddenly, republicans are cool with *that* kind of "socialism".
