"Altered or Synthetic Content" ?

I watch a lot of You Tube videos, especially on topics I am interested in, such as politics and media.

Recently, I have noticed more and more of them have the words, "Altered or Synthetic Content" which means it is AI and has been edited or created out of whole cloth, but with a person actually speaking as if it is "real". But, it is not.

I used to watch Rick Wilson quite a bit on You Tube, at least bits here and there, but anymore, everytime I click on it, it says it is altered or synthetic? I wonder if Rick Wilson is making these videos by himself or some stranger is using his likeness and his voice?

Perhaps it is just me? But I do not trust anything I see that is AI or has been "altered" or has "synthetic content". I immediately click out of the link.

4. I've noticed the same thing

The idea that a video contains "altered" or "synthetic content", is very unsettling and deters my interest in watching these videos videos. I've stopped watching them because, I just don't trust what the speaker is saying, as any kind of truthful information. I could be mistaken, but there is no explanation of what has been edited, and the nature of the synthetic content.
It is bothersome.

It is kind of funny that Compu-Hitchens is more likable than Paleo-Hitchens

9. If it says altered or synthetic, it's not the real person

And almost certainly was not made by the person being impersonated.

I saw one of Heather Cox Richardson talking about things she clearly doesn’t endorse.

...to regulate this AI crap. It should be labeled as dangerous to your health.
