(37,243 posts)When exactly during this second imposition was the first time he jumped the shark? I know there have been many, but theres always a first.
For the first imposition, Id say it was the lies about the inaugural attendance.
(Apologies to The Fonz.)

(3,183 posts)... that through the 10 years that Happy Days was on the air, Henry Winkler (AKA Arthur Fonzerelli) never actually learned to ride a motorcycle. Or so legend has it.
WInkler's comparatively diminutive stature would have made it hard to muscle around a 500-pound Harley on a sound stage, though the series-shattering scene that gave us the phrase, "jumped the shark", was a location shot, as I recall.

(37,243 posts)The original where The Fonz jumps a number of upright 55 gallon drums. The bike hes shown riding is a smaller bike. It looked relatively stock too.
The shark jumping was on waterskis. It was a location shot in an area used quite often in the era.

(129,064 posts)he was younger. With the exception of the actual moment over the shark, it wwas Henry. Who, by the way, is an absolute hoot in an interview. And his biography is interesting. He is a severe dyslexic.

'Shuffling off this mortal coil': Analysis sees signs that Trump knows the end is near

President Donald Trump has been sending signals that his health is fading and he's losing his grip on power, according to an analyst.
The 79-year-old president has been dozing off in public meetings and showing other signs of diminished health, including mysterious bruising on his hand and swollen ankles. Foreign policy analyst David Rothkopf told The Daily Beast Podcast that Trump seemed aware of his eventual demise.
They actually are serious issues because they are evidence that Donald Trump is at the end of his story, Rothkopf said. They are signs to the world that this is not a vigorous person. This is not a person whose biography is about their future. Its about their past, and everybody can see that in Washington......
Rothkopf also highlighted the president's increasingly frequent moves to rename institutions and buildings after himself such as the U.S. Institute of Peace and the Kennedy Center as another indicator that Trump is thinking about his legacy as his life comes to a close.
If youre watching his Band-Aids and youre watching his cankles, the number of things he wants to name after himself, I think, is a good indicator of how ill he thinks he is, because this is just him looking for some legacy, Rothkopf said. Its just him saying, Well, that could make me immortal. Because I think he realizes that he is shuffling off this mortal coil sooner rather than later.
