The sad truth is that the vast majority of Americans no longer hear let alone read any news. Newspaper readership has plummeted.

I am the only person in my entire family that gets a print newspaper. Not my father, none of my siblings. My kids piggyback on our NYT subscription.

Where do most Mericans get news? ABC or CBS top-of-the-hour on radio. Local broadcasts, which concentrate on local mayhem.
