More ai slop. Randy Rainbow and Kelly Clarkson. I was talking to a

friend earlier tonight about Randy Rainbow's newest piece. He told me that he had seen a video of an interview with Randy and Kelly. He was upset, saying that Kelly was saying awful, terribly insulting things to Randy, who got so upset he walked out. I was surprised that I had never heard anything about it, and don't really know anything about Kelly. It only took a couple of minutes for me to learn that it was complete ai slop. There was a disclaimer under the title/ description on youtube, but you had to click through, aand read all the way to the bottom.

4. The OP wasn't referencing the videos that Randy Rainbow produces himself.

There is a video out there that supposedly shows a negative interaction between Randy and Kelly Clarkson on her show. That video is a falsehood, probably designed to make Randy look bad*. That video is definitely AI and can be clearly contrasted against the real video of Randy's interview on Clarkson's show. (I have not seen the fake video.)

I did a post about this several weeks ago.

With all the very real concern about AI and its uses, there needs to be clarity in the public discourse about how it differs from CGI and digitally altered content. The latter two have been around for quite awhile and are accepted media for use in creative contexts. . . And that's about all I know. I am no techie and sorting out the differences between them is beyond my capabilities.




* Perhaps because he is Gay and Clarkson is a Southern girl and Conservative-types think that she shouldn't be cozying up to his sort?

6. There are pages upon pages of the same video on YouTube... it's very strange.

They are titled with variations of “Randy Rainbow Walks Off Kelly Clarkson's Show After Heated”. They are not really AI videos (in the sense that that most think of), but a still picture with an automated voice-over.

7. When I went looking, I saw links for a number of these supposed videos.

I only checked one, saw that it was that annoying voice--over with the flashing captions, which I loathe, and then read the description. I gather there were similar for several other interviews between Kelly and other artists. Very weird.

And was totally unaware of the underlying story so I had no frame of reference and assumed the conflict between Randy and Kelly was the true part, and that she was attacking him over using AI to make his videos Also the fact that Randy's latest video (which JUST came out) has a reference to altered content that one has to click down and read down (like you mentioned) to see it made me think I had read you right
