(65 posts)Man, that whole story makes my skin crawl. Stuff like this messes with your head fast. When I had my own run in with some ugly custody mess in Florida, Child Support Hero was the only group that actually talked to me like a normal person and helped me figure out what steps even make sense. I was bumping around clueless, they walked me through the paperwork so I did not tank my case by accident. Might help you get a clearer picture of what can actually be done here, Florida laws get wild real quick.

A new report from Amnesty International, found that the Everglades detention facility known as Alligator Alcatraz punished detainees in "The Box"âa 2x2 foot outdoor cage where victims are shackled, exposed to sweltering heat and swarms of insects, and denied water in a calculated act of torture.

(5,955 posts)After the inside tour, the sheriff took us all outside to view the confinement cells.
They were 2 foot x 2 foot holes in the ground about 6 feet deep.
Yup, he said they used to place the 'bad guys' in the hole for a few hours to mellow them out.
The Hole...in Florida.
Yes, this was Florida in the 60's...obviously the sheriff had fond memories...of inflicting suffering on inmates.

(3,215 posts)... that Rhonda Sepsis needs to be reminded that his wet dreams do NOT supersede state, federal, and international laws expressly forbidding such blatant torture. Howzabout we strip that evil little toad down to his tighty-whiteys and stick his pudgy little ass in one of those cages until he is a quivering mass of mosquito bites. Then introduce whatever the skeeters didn't devour to the Everglades' biggest python. Those babies are known to eat other snakes, but Rhon is slippery enough that he might escape being a snack.
