So why can't we have public option health insurance... ?

We have it in every aspect of our lives...
Private schools and public schools,
Public Army and Private army's
Private security and public police,
Private funded and public funded projects,
Private Hospitals and public Hospitals,
Public roads and Private roads...

Health care is the only public entities that does not do this...

A public option is just that... an option... you can opt out of it if you want to and can still have private insurance, but we should have a public option... when we can't afford to pay private insurance...

It makes no sense not to have it.

If I recall, the public option was killed by Joe Lieberman. (I did not shed a tear when he died.)

Medicare.

K-12 is age limited at the other end.

Now universal health care and universal education would be really ambitious.

So why can't we have free health insurance? I know it's complicated. Just fix it. Aren't we smart enough to figure this out?

All the wasted money that is spent in this country on useless shit.

Maybe we should actually try to stay out of wars too. The best offense is a great defense.

I don't care how many jobs are effected by making a move to permanently remove "for profit" healthcare. Find another job. We need to take care of our own til the day we die.

Nevermind. It will never happen.

It wouldn't be free. It would be incorporated into our taxes.

But, there are those -- let's call them MAGAs -- who would not want to contribute to healthcare structures that fund care for minorities. It's a pervasive mindset among Republican politicians and voters not to unionize with other demographics.

Dems like to think we're all in this together. Republicans don't want together. I live among them.
