When AI Gets an Innocent Man Arrested

Very frustrating situation. The man was arrested at some casino because their facial recognition tech showed him to be 100 percent the same guy that was previously trespassed. The man presents multiple evidence and is willing to give more but they are so hung up on this great technology and how accurate it is. The finger prints were what let him go but I don't understand why they didn't do that earlier. Also the ending was confusing because they listed him as John Doe when they first made the arrest because they thought he was lying about who he said he was but after he was released they changed it to his real name so that means he has a criminal record ?

Also from the pics they show of this guy and the guy that was trespassed they don't look that alike to me. I guess I can see a first glance similarity but not if you look more .

I tried to link to the YouTube video of this but the account doesn't allow sharing a link . If you want to watch the title of the video is "When AI gets an Innocent Man Arrested" and the account is EWU Bodycam.

It made some odd choices, like sending people on break 15 minutes after starting their day, scheduling them for lunch 75 minutes before the end of the day, or assigning their breaks to occur consecutively, with wide variation for each employee each day. We were forbidden to make adjustments to the software-generated schedules.

When we complained, we were told two things:
1. It cost a lot of money, so we're using it.
2. "It doesn't work unless you adhere to the schedules exactly."

Well, 1 is an asinine policy, and 2 is foolish because it already doesn't work.

This casino's AI issue seems like something along the same lines: they can't admit that they(or it) fucked up, so they try to force reality to conform with the bullshit generated by the AI.
