Jim Ward has died.

Long-time listeners will remember Jim as a Stephanie Miller sidekick (or mook). He was an award-winning voice actor and did comic impressions on the show.

In 2021, it was reported that Ward had developed symptoms of a precocious form of Alzheimer's disease and contracted a severe case of COVID-19, leaving him unable to continue voice acting.
On December 10, 2025, Ward's radio colleague Stephanie Miller announced she had received an email from Ward's wife, announcing that he had died earlier that morning. He was only 66.

RIP JIM - 1959-2025

His voice impressions were enhanced by his unequaled dry wit.
RIP Jim. And thank you.

I have played a lot of the video games he worked on...my kids watched so many of the animated shows he worked on (and me too....I used to watch with them). While I listen, I'm playing Elder Scrolls Online, in which he is the "big bad guy".

And of course, Stephanie Miller.

They just played his GW Bush "It's a Blunderful Life" and am still laughing.

I was going to get around to googling him to see if I could find out how he was doing.
I guess I was remembering him while doing the NYT crossword because he used to do it all the time when he was sitting in the studio on Stephanie's show - it used to drive her crazy.
Gone too soon, Jim

As the “Official Fromagier” of The Stephanie Miller Show, it was nice to laugh with all of the “crew” during today’s show. He was incredible, if not always appropriate. What a loss! RIP Jim! I’m sure you are making St. Peter crack up!

I used to have some good morning laughs listening to his impersonations. I wonder what he would have done during this orange piggy reign of terror mocking him.

Before her sexy liberal tour in the early 2000’s she had a show in my city girls night out and she, Jim and Chris were there and I met all three. RIP JIM.

was so funny....and sad because we thought he would be the worst.

Now we know, however low they get, Republicans can dig deeper and find something more awful.

Shout out to his riffs on the Queen (his version was particularly randy), his William F. Buckley, his Darth Vader (done with a coffee cup) and of course Kim Jong Il. Steph's show was much, much funnier back when he was on.

Requiescat in pace.
